Mark has been affiliated with Troop 309 since 2001 and in Scouting for over 18 years.  He and his wife Jan have two sons (Vance and Craig) and proud to have witnessed both young men achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. Mark was involved in Scouting in England, Germany and Maryland before moving to Satellite Beach in 2001.  He eventually retired from the Air Force in 2007.  He has been privileged to have served Scouting as Den Leader, Committee Member, Assistant Scoutmaster and Scoutmaster throughout his Scouting “career.”  Mark and Jan still reside in Satellite Beach and he works as a Defense Contractor at Patrick AFB.  He enjoys all the outdoor activities the community has to offer.

Kevin earned the rank of Eagle in 1996 and a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 2003. Kevin became active in Brevard County scouting as a young adult after starting to work at Harris. Prior to starting a family, Kevin completed the Woodbadge adult leader training program and is forever a Bobwhite. Kevin and his lovely wife, Charla, moved to Maryland in 2011 with their first son, Sean, to work at Northrop Grumman. After helping to manufacture computer chips and radar systems for 10 years and welcoming their second son, Peter, Kevin and his family moved back to Brevard County in 2021, settling in Satellite Beach and joining Troop 309. Kevin is now a Staff Engineer at Northrop Grumman near the airport, Charla directs an online civics education program for kids called American History Live, Sean attends Satellite High School, and Peter attends Delaura Middle School. Kevin is honored to have been chosen as the newest Scoutmaster of Troop 309, continuing a remarkable 60 year history of experienced leadership within our Troop. Being an enthusiastic hiker, Kevin attended Philmont Scout Ranch before he could drive and then became a Philmont Ranger in 1998 (the best summer job for a college freshman, ever!).

Barb has been involved in scouting since early 1995 with her husband, Jim, and her two sons, Mike and Steve.  She is very proud of her sons, both of whom achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.  Barb has served on the committees for South Brevard, Eagle, and Riverside Districts and has been in leadership positions with Pack 376, Troop 380, and Troop 309.  She is currently the Troop Committee Chair for Troop 309 and the Riverside District Advancement Chair.  Barb is retired with her husband and lives on Merritt Island.  They enjoy traveling, water activities, and having time for their favorite hobbies. And, are excited that their grandson has ranked up to Tiger!
